Student killed, another injured in road accident in Adilabad
A student died and another was injured in a bike-lorry collision in Adilabad's Jainath Mandal.
ADILABAD: A road accident in Adilabad district claimed the life of a student and left another severely injured on Sunday.
The incident occurred near Pippalwada in Jainath Mandal when a bike carrying two individuals collided with a stationary lorry.
The victim, Harshavardhan, a student from Korata in Jainath Mandal, died on the spot. The pillion rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to RIMS Hospital by local residents for treatment. The accident reportedly occurred when the bike lost control near Pippalwada, leading to the collision.
Police arrived at the scene after receiving information and have registered a case. The body of the deceased has been sent for a post-mortem examination at a government hospital. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
