HYDERABAD: The Tarnaka family deaths case received a twist on Tuesday. The police revealed that Pratap, one of the deceased, killed the other members of the family before ending his life as he grew suspicious about his wife.

Pratap was found hanging from the ceiling of their residential flat in Tarnaka on Monday. The bodies of his wife Sindhura, their four-year-old daughter and his mother were found on the floor. Shocking revelations came to the fore during the investigation of the police who believe that Pratap had electrocuted his family members to death with strong electric currents from a wire.

The police, after preliminary investigation, said that Vivan Pratap (34) was working at a BMW showroom in Chennai as an automotive designer. He grew suspicious about his wife Sindhura, who was working in a private bank in Hyderabad. The couple apparently made serious efforts to get Sindhura transferred to Chennai, added the police.

The family had only recently moved to Hyderabad after Sindhura was posted here by the private bank she worked for. The police also suspect that family disputes might have led Pratap to kill all three family members using an electric wire and later ending his life by hanging at his residence in Tarnaka.
