HYDERABAD: Yet another case of fraud allegedly by an app-based loan provider has come to light after a tea-seller lodged a complaint with the Medipally police here.

According to the complainant Narender, who runs a tea shop, he unwittingly fell prey to a fraud by an app-based loan providing services firm. In his complaint, Narender alleged that a loan was obtained in his name by the app-based loan provider without his knowledge or consent. It was not immediately clear if he was duped into a loan fraud or the firm used his credentials to defraud him in the name of a loan.

Narender was shocked out of his wits when he realised about the loan taken in his name. He lodged a complaint with the Medipally Police Station. A case has been registered and investigation is going on.
