Teenage girl commits suicide after sexual harassment by youth in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Sexual harassment in the guise of love by a youth drove a 16-year-old girl to suicide.

The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Jawahar Nagar Police Station in Kapra Mandal.

The girl, studying in the 9th grade in Husnabad, Siddipet district, had recently returned to her home in Balajinagar. Upon her return, a youth named Shiva allegedly harassed her sexually under the guise of love.

Unable to bear the harassment, the girl hanged herself and ended her life. Police have registered a case and began an investigation.
