Thief steals Goddess' necklace after praying at temple in Madanapalle

MADANAPALLE: In a shocking incident in Madanapalle town of Annamayya district, Andhra Pradesh, a thief stole a gold necklace from the idol of Goddess Batagangamma after offering prayers.

The accused visited the Batagangamma temple in Buggakalva and acted like a regular devotee to avoid suspicion. After worshipping the deity, he waited for the opportune moment and stole the gold chain from the idol before fleeing the scene.
