Thieves strike during Minister Ponguleti's visit in Kalwakurthy

KALWAKURTHY: Thieves created chaos during Minister Ponguleti's visit to Kalwakurthy, Nagarkurnool district, on Monday evening. The minister was laying the foundation stone for a CC road project in the Vaddera Basti area when the incident occurred.

In the midst of the event, a thief managed to steal Rs 20,000 from a local councillor. Another attempted theft was foiled when the suspect was caught in the act but managed to escape before being apprehended.

The thefts, which occurred despite heavy police security at the minister’s event, have sparked criticism and raised concerns about the security arrangements.
