Three injured as high-speed car crashes on PVNR Expressway
A red car lost control near Pillar 285, causing major disruption and injuries to three occupants.
HYDERABAD: Three persons were injured when the car they were travelling in lost control and hit a road divider on the PVNR Expressway.
The accident occurred near Pillar Number 285 in Rajendranagar late Sunday night. According to the police, the car, which was reportedly speeding, lost control, collided with the road divider, and eventually hit a central lighting pole. The vehicle crossed into the opposite lane before coming to a halt.
The occupants of the car, who sustained serious injuries, were rushed to the hospital immediately after the crash. The car had been heading towards Mehdipatnam from Shamshabad when the driver lost control, resulting in the accident.
Witnesses described moments of panic as the car veered across the lanes, narrowly missing other vehicles. It was reported that the driver might have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The accident led to a significant traffic jam on the expressway, and the police had a tough time clearing the congestion and restoring the normal flow of traffic.
