Three killed, one injured as car crashes into tree in Nagarkurnool

NAGARKURNOOL: Three people were killed and one seriously injured when a car crashed into a tree in Nagarkurnool district on Sunday. The accident occurred in the Nallamalla forest area of Amrabad mandal, where the speeding car lost control and veered off the road.

The deceased, all residents of Hyderabad's Bollaram area, were travelling from Hyderabad to Srisailam. Police suspect the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel due to early morning fatigue, leading to the accident.

While three occupants died on the spot, the injured passenger was rushed to Sunnipenta Hospital. Police reached the accident site and shifted the bodies to Achampet Government Hospital for post-mortem.

The incident caused a traffic jam on the highway, which was later cleared by the police. The victims' families have been informed, and emotional scenes were witnessed at the Achampet hospital mortuary as they arrived.
