MAHABUBNAGAR: Two young brothers drowned in a water hole in Sphoorthi Thanda, located in Moosapet Mandal, Mahabubnagar district. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, as reported by local sources.
Sakru Naik and his wife Jyothi, residents of Sphoorthi Thanda, have two sons and a daughter. Their sons, Sai Naik (13) and Saketh Naik (9), went with their father to the family’s agricultural field. When the boys did not return, Sakru Naik began searching for them near the farm. On his way back, he checked a nearby farm pond, where he found his sons drowned.
The boys were rushed to the district hospital, but the doctors declared them dead on arrival. The local police, led by SI Srinivasulu, are investigating the case based on a complaint filed by the family on Sunday.
