Wife prevents husband's funeral over property dispute in Peddapalli

KARIMNAGAR: A woman from Manthani Mandal in Peddapalli district prevented her husband's funeral, demanding a share of his property.

Sunil (36), a resident of Vilochavaram village, married Sandhya four years ago. The couple had a son. However, due to disputes, they had been living separately for the past year.

Sunil passed away three days ago in Hyderabad due to health issues. His family brought his body to the banks of the Godavari River in Manthani for the last rites. Upon hearing the news, Sandhya, along with her family members, reached Manthani and interrupted the funeral. She insisted that her son should receive a share of Sunil's property.
