HYDERABAD: A woman was attacked by around 15 dogs at Chitrapuri Hills in Manikonda during her morning walk at around 6 am on Saturday.

Despite the severity of the attack, the woman managed to survive with great difficulty. At one point, she fell but quickly got up and used a slipper to fend off the dogs.

Residents have taken to micro-blogging site X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration, reporting that many children have also been attacked by dogs in the area. They criticised the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for not taking any action.

The woman's husband posted a video online, complaining about the incident and appealing to residents not to feed street dogs within the colony premises, suggesting they do so outside the gate instead. He remarked that his wife was fortunate to survive and questioned what might happen if small children faced similar attacks from stray dogs.
