Woman passenger, relatives assault RTC conductor, driver in Warangal
A dispute over seating escalated into a violent attack on an RTC bus driver and conductor by a woman passenger and her relatives.
HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident in Warangal district, a woman passenger and her relatives assaulted an RTC bus conductor and driver, leaving them severely injured. The altercation began over a seating dispute and quickly escalated into violence.
The incident occurred on an RTC bus travelling from Hanamkonda to Eturnagaram. The conflict started near Atmakur when the driver asked the female passenger not to sit on the bonnet beside him. This led to a heated argument between the woman and the driver.
The situation worsened when the woman called her son, who followed the bus for 30 kilometres. Upon catching up, he stopped the bus and, along with his mother, engaged in a physical altercation with the driver and conductor. The woman attacked the conductor with her shoe while her son punched the conductor in the face.
Following the assault, the driver and conductor filed a complaint at the Atmakur Police Station in Mulugu district. They requested action against the woman passenger and her son, Mohan, for obstructing their duties and assaulting them.
The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
