Man attacks a young woman and her parents with a knife in Bapatla after she rejected his advances.
BAPATLA: A young woman and her parents were attacked by a man in Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh.
The accused, identified as Bhargav Reddy, allegedly attacked the young woman with a knife after she refused his romantic advances. The incident occurred at midnight when Bhargav Reddy went to the victim’s house and assaulted her with a knife. When the woman's parents intervened to protect their daughter, they too were attacked and injured by the accused.
Following the attack, neighbours helped rush the three injured individuals to a nearby hospital for treatment. The victims subsequently lodged a complaint with the local police, who have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
Police have begun a search operation to apprehend Bhargav Reddy, who fled the scene after the attack. The authorities are actively pursuing leads to locate the suspect and bring him into custody.
