Youth stabbed during argument at Tirupati theatre, love affair suspected

TIRUPATI: A stabbing incident in a cinema theatre in Tirupati on Saturday caused a stir when a youth named Lokesh, from Giddalur village in Prakasam district, was attacked.

Lokesh had come to watch a movie with his friends when a confrontation broke out with another youth, Karthik, from Sullurupeta. Karthik stabbed Lokesh during the argument and fled the scene with a woman named Kavya.

Police suspect that the attack was motivated by a love affair, with initial investigations pointing to the possibility that Kavya may have instigated the violence. Lokesh, an MBA student, was seriously injured and was immediately shifted to Ruya Hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered, and police are investigating the incident further.
