Youths sentenced to two days imprisonment for petrol theft
Two youths were arrested by Lalaguda police during patrolling Indiranagar Colony on June 2.;
HYDERABAD: In an interesting case, two youths were sentenced to two days imprisonment for stealing petrol from parked motorcycles in Lalapet.
Lalaguda in-charge Circle Inspector (CI) Ramesh Goud informed that the court handed down the sentence following the arrest of the two individuals caught in the act.
The incident occurred after midnight on June 2 when Bluecolt personnel, while patrolling Indiranagar Colony, observed suspicious activity. Upon investigation around 3 a.m., they confirmed that V. Srikanth (20) and K. Vikram (20), both from the Uppal area, were siphoning petrol from two-wheelers.
The police detained Srikanth and Vikram and took them to the local police station. After being presented before the judge, they were sentenced to two days in jail for their actions.
