HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will visit Delhi on October 6 to submit a comprehensive report to the central government regarding the recent flood damages in the state.

The move comes after the Telangana government estimated that the heavy rains in September led to over Rs 10,000 crore in losses. Despite this, the central government released only Rs 416.80 crore in flood relief funds for Telangana, which the state considers insufficient.

During his visit, Revanth Reddy will also participate in a meeting of state Home Ministers, organised by the Union Home Ministry. Following the meeting, he is expected to meet with senior Congress leaders to discuss further matters of concern.

In response to the heavy flooding in Telangana, the central team had already visited the state to assess the damages. The Centre initially provided Rs 3,300 crore as immediate relief for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. More recently, an additional Rs 5,858 crore was released under the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) to 14 states, of which Telangana received only Rs 416.80 crore.
