Congress workers protest at Gandhi Bhavan against Gadwal BRS MLA's defection

HYDERABAD: Congress activists from Gadwal held a protest in front of Gandhi Bhavan, opposing the potential induction of BRS MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy into the Congress party.

Hundreds of Congress party workers gathered, raising slogans against MLA Krishna Mohan Reddy and opposing his possible entry into the party. They pledged their support to Saritha Tirupathaiah and demanded that the Congress party stop encouraging political opportunists.

In the November 2023 Assembly elections, Saritha lost to Krishna Mohan Reddy from the Gadwal constituency by a narrow margin of 7,036 votes. The protesters argued that inducting the BRS MLA into Congress would disrespect genuine party workers who have made significant sacrifices during the party's nine years in opposition from 2014 to 2023.
