KTR condemns Danam Nagender's remarks against MP Kangana Ranaut

HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao condemned Khairtabad MLA Danam Nagender for his derogatory remarks against BJP MP Kangana Ranaut.

In a tweet, KTR expressed dismay over the Congress leaders' silence on the issue, calling for respect towards women regardless of political differences.

KTR acknowledged that he disagreed with Kangana Ranaut’s political views but stressed that the discourse should not sink to the level of abusive language. He also reminded Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi of an earlier incident when Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma made inappropriate remarks about Sonia Gandhi, noting that the then Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao had been the first to condemn those comments, even before Congress leaders in Telangana had responded.

KTR urged Rahul Gandhi to instill higher ethical standards in his party and ensure that Congress members refrain from such behaviour.
