HYDERABAD: BRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao has launched a sharp critique against the Congress government over its handling of the Musi River cleanup project, accusing it of playing with the lives of the poor. KTR strongly condemned the Revanth Reddy-led administration for failing to implement six key guarantees, including the farmer loan waiver and Rythu Bandhu schemes.

In a tweet, KTR raised several questions targeting the Congress leadership. He accused the government of avoiding its promise to waive farmer loans, asking, "Who is the rogue responsible for dirty politics around Musi while ignoring the loan waivers?" He also highlighted the alleged failure to deliver on Rythu Bandhu and accused the government of exploiting the poor residing near the Musi River.

KTR continued his criticism by addressing the unmet promises of financial aid to women, pensions for the elderly, and gold for weddings. He questioned, "Who is the fraudster who promised Rs. 2,500 per month to women in 100 days but has failed to deliver? Who is the cheat that pledged Rs. 4,000 per month to our elders but has not fulfilled it? And who is the deceitful leader who promised a tola of gold for daughters' weddings but went back on his word?"

KTR also referred to the Musi River beautification project, alleging that it was being used for corruption. He questioned, "Who is the mastermind behind the looting of Rs. 1,500 crore in the name of Musi beautification?"
