KCR calls off aerial survey, travels by road
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has called off his proposed aerial survey to flood-affected areas in the State, owing to incessant rain.
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has called off his proposed aerial survey to in the State, owing to incessant rain. KCR temporarily called off the aerial survey and embarked on a visit to the places by road.
He began his tour in the special bus meant for his tours along with an entourage of ministers and officials.
Finance Minister T Harish Rao, Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao and Tribal Welfare Minister accompanied the Chief Minister apart from Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and a battery of senior officials.
KCR originally planned to conduct the aerial survey for two days. It is still not clear weather he would return to Hyderabad after his first round of visit to pay obeisance to the Goddess Ujjaini Mahankali as the famous Bonal festival is celebrated on Sunday.
KCR had planned to visit some areas in Warangal and Khammam districts on Sunday and Karimnagar-Kaleshwaram-Adilabad-Kadem on Monday.
KCR and team would visit the flood-affected areas and interact with people in Bhadrachalam. The Chief Minister who had started early on the journey from the residence for former MP B Lakshmikantha Rao in Warangal, saw the flood affected places in Eturu Nagaram and Mulugu areas.
