HYDERABAD: Following the Andhra Pradesh High Court orders, the sleuths of Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (AP CID) started questioning former Minister Narayana from 11.30 am on Friday. The CID is reportedly grilling the TDP leader at his residence in Hyderabad in connection with the irregularities in the Amaravati capital Inner Ring Road Master Plan after serving notices under CrPC section 160.
The Andhra Pradesh High Court gave the go-ahead to the CID to investigate Narayana on charges of his alleged role in the scam. Before that, Narayana's counsel told the High Court that their client could not attend the CID investigation in Amaravati due to his health condition. They said that the former minister was recuperating after a recent surgery.
However, the High Court said that Narayana could be interrogated at his residence in Hyderabad. The CID will continue its questioning in two sessions from 11 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm.
