TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao announced a Rs. 750 salary hike for village/warn volunteers in the State on Thursday.

Minister Karumuri Nageswara Rao said during a visit to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam on Thursday that the announcement was made on the occasion of YS Jagan's 51st birthday. He said that the decision to reward volunteers was made since the local volunteers took comprehensive measures in distributing the ration.

He said that the raise would go into effect on January 1, 2023. He added that Chief Minister YS Jagan would expand volunteer opportunities in the future.
