AP Budget 2023-24 outlay at Rs 2.79 lakh cr; fiscal deficit at Rs 54,587 cr

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranth Reddy on Thursday presented the annual budget of Andhra Pradesh for 2023-24 in the State Assembly with a total plan outlay of Rs 2,79,279 crores. The outlay included an estimated revenue expenditure of Rs 2,28,540 crores and a capital expenditure of Rs 31,061 crores.

The budget projected a revenue deficit of Rs 22,316 crores and a fiscal deficit of Rs 54,587 crores even as the revenue deficit in GSTP is estimated to be at 3.77 percent. Similarly, the fiscal deficit of the state has been projected to be at 1.54 percent.
