AP CID serves notice to Nara Lokesh over threatening officials with ‘Red Book’

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (AP CID) has served notices to TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh for threatening them in the name of ‘Red Book’.

The CID officials on Friday approached the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) court and informed the judge about ‘Red Book’ which is a violation of the terms of Section 41A of the CrPC. After hearing their plea, the court directed the CID officials to serve notices to Lokesh.

Lokesh confirmed receipt of the notices through a reply to the CID on WhatsApp. The ACB special court on Thursday posted further hearing of the petition filed by the CID for the arrest of Lokesh to January 9, 2024.
