AP DGP granted leave for 16 days, Addl DG Shankha Brata Bagchi appointed as In-charge

AMARAVATHI: The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned Earned Leave for a period of 16 days from May 18 to June 3 to state Director-General of Police and ACB DGP KV Rajendranath Reddy after the latter had applied for the leave citing his foreign visit on personal works.

Chief Secretary of the State Government K.S. Jawahar Reddy on Wednesday issued orders and released GO No. 933 stating that the said IPS officer could leave the country for the mentioned period.

The state government appointed Dr. Shankha Brata Bagchi, who is serving as Additional DGP for Law and Order, as the in-charge DGP with full additional responsibilities as ACB Director General as well.

However, the government made it clear that the IPS officer Rajendranath Reddy would assume the office as DGP after his return to duties.
