AMARAVATI: The recently released revised list of voters in Andhra Pradesh has evoked a row of conflict within the opposition parties, raising doubts over the conspiracy of deletion of the number of voters in as many as 158 constituencies in the State.

The opposition parties, which claimed that as many as 15,90,802 voters were removed from January 2022 to January 2023, demanded an investigation into the decrease in the number of voters.

The opposition parties complained that the names were removed from the list without any prior notice or knowledge of the voter. They also said that the village volunteers were behind the deletion of the voters.

However, the Central Election Commission denied the allegations and made clear that only the voters of those whose names are repeated in the list, those who have died, and those who have migrated have been deleted.
