HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Women's Commission has lashed out at Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan for his comments on the marriage system and advice on divorce. Vasireddy Padma, the chairperson of the Women's Commission, issued notices to Pawan Kalyan, demanding that he apologise to women and withdraw his comments immediately, claiming that his comments would hurt women's sentiments.

According to the Women's Commission Chairman, such indecent remarks would have an impact on society, and Pawan Kalyan's comments would have a greater impact, posing a serious threat to women's safety due to the latter's popularity as a hero and party president. She said that the women's commission will await Pawan Kalyan's explanation and had threatened to initiate action against him if he did not respond.

Janasena President Pawan Kalyan made these remarks in response to criticism of his three marriages from YSRCP ministers and MLAs. He slammed YSRCP leaders and adviser them to have three marriages by divorcing and paying alimony during a press conference in Vijayawada.
