Bizarre viral video: YSRCP, TDP trade blows over distribution of condom packets
A video has gone viral on social media which showed condom packets with colours and symbols of both the YSRCP and the TDP allegedly being distributed to the people during campaigns.
VIJAYAWADA: Ahead of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the ruling YSRCP and opposition in TDP have embarked on a bizarre 'condom' politics on social media.
A video has gone viral on social media on Thursday which shows condom packets with colours and symbols of both the YSRCP and the TDP allegedly being distributed by the cadres to the people during campaigns.
In one of the videos, a person could be seen asking an alleged TDP cadre of why he was distributing condoms for which he responds, "The TDP is distributing condoms because if population is in control, then the party need not allocate more for schemes like Amma Vodi."
Both the YSRCP and the TDP traded blows from their official 'X' handles for indulging in a "wild" act.
"The TDP is resorting to distributing condoms to people as part of its campaign. Why this publicity madness? Will they distribute viagra next? Will they stop there or stoop lower?," the YSRCP tweeted.
The TDP too took to X to post a video of condom with YSRCP logo and tweeted, "Is this why you have been shouting 'Siddham', 'Siddham'? (name of Jagan's political campaign). This is a vile campaign."
Political observers noted that nobody on the ground had distributed condoms and that the viral videos were staged by both the parties only to take potshots at each other.
