Chandrababu distributes pensions at Penumaka, warns shock treatment to officials still following Jagan’s dictums
The Chief Minister handed over the old age pension to Pamula Naik, and the widow pension to Nayak's daughter.
AMARAVATI: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu handed over NTR Assurance pensions in Penumaka village of Tadepalli mandal in Guntur district on Monday.
The Chief Minister handed over the old age pension to Pamula Naik, and the widow pension to Nayak's daughter. They urged Chandrababu Naidu for a house and he assured them that a house would be handed over to the family soon.
For the first time since the formation of the new Government in AP, the distribution of pensions was going on across the state. While Chandrababu Naidu launched the NTR Bharosa social pension scheme on Monday morning at Penumaka, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Ministers Nara Lokesh, P Narayana, and others would be distributing the pensions in their respective Constituencies.
Later, at a meeting with pensioners in Penumaka, CM Chandrababu called upon everyone to work together for a poverty-less Andhra Pradesh. “We will create wealth. Income will increase. We will increase revenue. Real welfare is to bring light into people's lives. The first step was to raise the standard of living of the people. For TDP, society. Is temple and people are equal to God," he said.
"Our government works with the inspiration of NTR." We care for the poor. Let's think innovatively. I want to see a society without economic inequality,” Naidu added.
No more drapes, only shock treatment
Meanwhile, an interesting conversation took place between Minister Lokesh and Chandrababu at Penumaka.
"Sir, when you became the Chief Minister, you took the first step in implementing welfare schemes. I am very happy that you have come to our Penumaka village in the Mangalagiri constituency. These people have not seen a CM for the last five years. But it will take time for the authorities to act. They are still erecting drapes despite repeated requests, " Lokesh said.
Chandrababu responded to Lokesh's comments with a smile. "No, the officers have changed. If they don’t change there is no option but to suspend them. I want everyone to forget the old days and move on to new ones. This shouldn't happen anywhere. If anyone complains, action will be taken, "he said.
For this Lokesh responded and said that five years was a long time and it would take some time to change the situation. Chandrababu Naidu responded. "You (ministers) also need to get used to everything. Everyone has to adapt to the new era and new culture. There's no time. We have to stop driving in reverse. That shouldn't be the idea. Otherwise, we will give a shock treatment and everyone will be set. I am ready to give shock treatment, "he said.
