AMARAVATI: TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu was given prominence at the NDA meeting in New Delhi which was chaired by care taker Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
Chandrababu Naidu sat next to Modi along with Bihar CM and JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar and BJP national president JP Nadda.
After the one-and-a-half meeting responding to a query by the media about whether TDP would remain with the NDA, he said that one must remember that TDP was an alliance partner of the NDA and they contested the elections as partners.
When he was asked about details of the cabinet berths he demanded at the NDA meeting, he said that he would respond to the question afterward.
Sources in Delhi said that former Home Minister Amit Shah would hold one-on-one meetings with the NDA partners to understand the issues that needed to be sorted out before the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi tentatively scheduled for June 8.
With the PM’s oath-taking set for June 8, TDP sources said that the proposed oath-taking of Naidu as AP CM could be postponed from June 9 to June 11 or 12.
Unanimous resolution passed
The NDA partners resolved to accept Narendra Modi as their leader.

NDA delegation to meet the President
A delegation NDA would meet President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday. The delegation would request the President to allow the formation of the NDA Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi. The alliance would also submit a letter stating that it had the required numbers to form the Government. Modi would be sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third time on May 8 or 9.
