Chandrababu Naidu using Sharmila as last resort to target YS Jagan, alleges Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy

VIJAYAWADA: The YSRCP Government has lashed out at YS Sharmila and the Congress alleging that it is a last trick in the book used by TDP president Chandrababu Naidu to defame the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday after Sharmila was appointed the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president, Andhra Pradesh Government general secretary and government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that Naidu used his good books to ensure to appoint Sharmila as the APCC chief.

"What is she doing in Andhra after claiming to be a Telangana-oriented person for the last three years," Sajjala asked.

Soon after taking charge, Sharmila questioned YS Jagan by asking what did he do in his tenure as Chief Minister apart from taking loans and pushing the State into debt.

Reacing to her comments, Sajjala said, "The language used by Sharmila is inappropriate.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is working with commitment as per the aspirations of YS Rajashekara Reddy (YSR). As the heir of YSR, Jagan has earned a place in the hearts of the people. After YSR's death, the Congress troubled his family members. Illegal cases were filed against him.

“Congress even included YSR's name in the FIR. Sharmila herself had pointed it out and it is strange to see her join the same party. She was in Telangana before the polls there and now that there are polls in AP, she has come here,” Sajjala said.

He suspected that Sharmila was acting upon the orders of Chandrababu Naidu and mentioned that Sharmila perhaps wanted to see Naidu as the next Chief Minister of the State.

"All this is Chandrababu's move. Why did the Congress not recognise Sharmila in Telangana? Why did Sharmila take a step back from contesting in Telangana? Congress has done injustice to Andhra Pradesh by colluding with Chandrababu. He is unable to tell people what he did to the State during his reign. That is why he is using Sharmila, Jagan's sister, to target Jagan," Sajjala said.
