VIJAYAWADA: Former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP Chandrababu Naidu had signed his name on 13 different documents related to the skill development scam, said the Additional Director General of APCID N Sanjay.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Sanjay said that documents included the council meeting to approve the budget for the Skill Development Corporation, which was set up without the approval of the cabinet. Sanjay said that this was a clear case of misuse of power and that it was evident that funds were channeled out of the corporation.

Sanjay also questioned how a private individual like Ganta Subbarao was appointed to the position of managing director of the corporation. He said that there was no evidence to suggest that Subbarao had any experience in the skill development sector.

Sanjay clarified that out of Rs 313 crore, Rs 241 crore changed hands through a shell company. He added that a Government Order (GO) was released before deciding where to put the skill centers and recalled that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had seized assets worth Rs 32 crore.
