Four killed, seven injured in auto rickshaw-RTC bus collision in Kadapa district

KADAPA: In a ghastly road accident, four people were killed on the spot and seven others injured in Kadapa district on Monday.

The mishap occurred after an auto rickshaw tried to overtake a lorry and collided with an APSRTC bus near Potladurthi in Yerraguntla mandal. All the passengers were travelling to Mallela from Proddatur.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad (25), Hassena (25), Ameena (20) and Shakir (10). Upon receiving information, Jammalamadugu DSP Nagaraju along with other officials rushed to the spot and shifted the injured people to a nearby hospital.

The bodies were shifted to Kadapa Government Hospital for postmortem. A case was registered and further investigations were underway into the incident.
