AMARAVATI: In a pre-emptive move to counter the Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID)’s attempt to corner former Nara Chandrababu Naidu in four different cases, the latter’s advocates have filed different bail pleas on his behalf at the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday.

The bail petition seeking relief for Chandrababu Naidu includes the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) case, anticipatory bails in Amaravati Inner Ring Road (IRR) case, the attack on YSRCP leaders in Ramatirtham temple in Vizianagaram case and the attempt to murder and criminal conspiracy case for clashes in Angallu village of Annamayya district.

The bail petitions in different cases were filed at a time when the AP-CID sought a PT warrant in the IRR case to be served to Chandrababu Naidu who was jailed at Rajamahendravaram Central Prison in the APSSDC case. On the other hand, the attempt to murder case was slapped on the TDP president for conspiring and hatching a plan to start clashes in Angallu during his road show.

Chandrababu Naidu’s legal counsels have already filed a lunch motion petition seeking the quashing of the skill development scam case on Tuesday which would be taken for hearing by the High Court on Wednesday. The custody petition by the CID seeking five-day custody of Chandrababu Naidu for further interrogation was also posted for Wednesday.
