Vallabhaneni Vamsi filed a defamation suit against TDP leaders Bachula Arjunudu and Kommareddy Pattabhi for accusing him of corruption
VIJAYAWADA: TDP rebel MLA from Gannavaram Vallabhaneni Vamsi on Monday filed a defamation suit against TDP leaders Bachula Arjunudu and Kommareddy Pattabhi in Gannavaram court for accusing him of corruption and linking him with the Sankalpa Siddhi multi-level marketing scandal in Vijayawada.
Addressing the media here after filing the defamation suit, Vamsi asserted that he had not resorted to any type of corruption in his life. He alleged that the TDP leaders have made severe accusations against him through some media channels to tarnish his image.
The Gannavaram legislator made it clear that he had been supporting YS Jaganmohan Reddy, after being elected as an MLA in 2019 on a TDP ticket, for the welfare schemes being implemented in the State by the YSRCP government. He said he was especially impressed by the introduction of English medium education and the Nadu-Nedu works in government schools. He said that he had become a victim of the malicious campaign by TDP leaders since then and was hounded with false propaganda being carried out on social media.
Vallabhaneni Vamsi said that he had filed the suit as the TDP leaders had not responded to the legal notices served on his behalf to them in the past over their unfounded allegations. He said the TDP leaders made false allegations claiming that he and Kodali Nani had resorted to corruption and acquired properties in Bangalore with that money. He said that he was seeking punishment for those who were wilfully carrying out the false propaganda against him.
