Hari Ramajogaiah fumes at seats given to JSP; tells Pawan Kalyan to ask half term as CM, 50% cabinet posts

PALAKOL: Kapu patriarch and president of Kapu Samkshema Sena Chegondi Hari Ramajogaiah has expressed displeasure over the seat sharing between the Telugu Desam and Pawan Kalyan-led Janasena Party and wanted the actor to at least secure half the ministerial berths in the cabinet and also half of the tenure as Chief Minister if the TDP-JSP combine, wins the ensuing Assembly elections.

He has further demanded that the announcement of the JSP share in the Cabinet and Chief Ministership for half tenure must come from TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

In an open letter to Pawan Kalyan on Sunday, Jogaiah wondered how the actor-turned-politician arrived at the figure of 24 Assembly seats and three Lok Sabha seats. “As per the percentage of votes based on caste, BC should have received 50 percent, Kapus 25 percent, Kammas 4 percent, and Reddies 6 percent. But on Saturday, the TDP-JSP allocated 25 to BCs, Kapus 15, Kammas 24, and Reddies received 17,” he pointed out.

He wanted to know from Pawan Kalyan whether the Jana Sena cadre approved the seat-sharing arrangement. “Is this the way an alliance works? One giving and the taking or there is an equity in seat sharing between equal partners. When did you start thinking that the JSP is the receiver and not the giver,” the former Minister asked Pawan Kalyan.

He said that Jana Sena was strong in at least 50-60 seats but Pawan Kalyan settled for 24 seats. It was deplorable that Pawan Kalyan declared in the joint press conference that the selection of seats was based on the strength of the party in that particular constituency. “I do not understand why Pawan Kalyan started underestimating his strength,” he said.

He said that the Jana Sena cadre would be highly disappointed with the seat-sharing agreement between the TDP and the JSP. “To achieve the ‘Rama Rajya’ that Pawan Kalyan wanted in the State by defeating YS Jagan, they want their leader to be the Chief Minister for half of the five-year tenure and at least 50 percent berths in the cabinet,” Hari Rama Jogaiah said.

Stressing the need for the transfer of the JSP votes for the victory of the TDP candidates, he said that in the absence of such transfer, the same result of 2019 could be repeated in the State.
