In a suicide pact, 4 of debt-ridden family die by suicide in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalle
The deceased were identified as Sivaram Krishna (40) and his wife Madhavi (38) and their two children Vyshnavi (16) and Lakshmi (13)
ANAKAPALLE: In a tragic incident, four members of a debt-ridden family died by suicide at their apartment in Anakapalle on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Sivaram Krishna (40) and his wife Madhavi (38) and their two children Vyshnavi (16) and Lakshmi (13). All of them died by suicide by consuming cyanide in their apartment. Sivaram Krishna’s third daughter Kusuma Priya (13) who also consumed cyanide along with her family members was undergoing treatment at Anakapalle Government Hospital. Her health condition is said to be critical.
Upon receiving the information about the incident, a team of police personnel rushed to the crime spot. The preliminary investigation revealed that Sivaram Krishna was a gold smith and he hails from Tenali in Guntur district. For the last few months, he was staying in Anakapalle along with his family. According to locals, Sivaram Krishna’s family might have taken extreme step due to debts. The deceased were shifted to Anakapalle Government hospital for post-mortem examination.
The police registered a case and further investigations were underway into the incident.
