Jagan appoints Posani Krishna Murali as APSFTVTDC Chairman
Posani Krishna Murali has been appointed as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation
AMARAVATI: Tollywood screenwriter, director and actor Posani Krishna Murali has been appointed as the Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTVTDC) Limited. A GO, issued on Thursday by the YS Jaganmohan Reddy-led State Government, stated that his appointment came into immediate effect.
Other details pertaining to the perks, role and responsibilities will be notified subsequently, the order said. This is the second appointment of Telugu film personalities in the last one week in high-profile state government positions. Recently, Tollywood comedian Mohammed Ali, popularly known as Ali, was appointed as the Electronic Media Advisor to the Andhra Pradesh Government.
Posani Krishna Murali has finally been rewarded for his unflinching loyalty to the YSRCP and especially its president and Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He has been a staunch votary of YS Jagan's policies and stoutly defended the party line at the height of many controversies, especially those linked to the film industry.
Despite his support to the YSRCP, he never expressed his desire, at least outwardly, for any high positions in the government. Interestingly, Posani was one of the very few from Tollywood who took Power Star and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan head-on during the ticket pricing controversy a few months ago.
