ANANTAPUR: Kin of a young boy who suffered brain death brought smiles to four families with the transplantation of the organs.
Jagadish, a student of a high school in Bukkarayasamudram Mandal met with an accident and was undergoing treatment at KIMS Saveera Hospital in Anantapur. With the doctors declaring him brain-dead his family members, despite their grief, came forward to donate his organs.
Under the auspices of AP Jeevan Dan Organisation, Jagadish's lungs were transported to Hyderabad, while his liver was sent to Visakhapatnam. One of his kidneys was donated to KIMS Savera Hospital in Anantapur, and the other kidney was transferred to Kurnool. The decision of Jagadish's family has saved the lives of four persons.
The local people who witnessed the noble act of Jagadish's parents have showered praises and wished that he would be alive in the form of four people.
