Leopard trapped on veterinary varsity campus in Tirupati

TIRUPATI: A Leopard was caught in the early hours of Sunday at Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University by the forest department.

The Leopard was sighted in the premises of the Tirupati veterinary university on Saturday night. The forest officials had installed six camera traps and two cages at two different places to trap the Leopard.

After vigorous efforts carried out by the forest departments, the Leopard was finally caught on Sunday morning. Arrangements to release the animal into the dense forest are underway.
