Lokesh padayatra in AP to begin from Kuppam on January 27, 2023
The TDP MLC is all set to undertake padayatra from Kuppam in Chittoor district to Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district from January 27, 2023
AMARAVATI: After months of dilly-dallying and deliberations, the date for the padayatra of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national general secretary Nara Lokesh has been finalised. The TDP MLC is all set to undertake his much talked-about padayatra from Kuppam in Chittoor district to Ichchapuram in Srikakulam district from January 27, 2023. As per sources, the footmarch is likely to last close to a year during which time he will be out in public.
Lokesh will be meeting people during the padayatra to find out the problems confronting them. In a typical modus operandi of padayatras, he would also be addressing a host of public meetings. The route map for the yatra was reported to have already been prepared.
It is learnt that Nara Lokesh preferred to undertake a long yatra as there was still time before the 2024 elections. On January 26, 2023, Lokesh will head straight to Kuppam from his Hyderabad residence in Hyderabad and start the padayatra on January 27. It is believed that Chandrababu was likely to hold discussions with senior leaders of the TDP before forming several teams to make the padayatra a success.
