Man from Kadapa dies by suicide after losing crores in bet on YSRCP's victory

KADAPA: A man died by suicide on Tuesday after jumping into the Vijayawada Krishna Barrage. According to reports, the deceased, identified as Venkata Subbarao (52) from Proddatur town, had lost crores of rupees betting on the YSRCP's victory in the election.

Subbarao bet heavily on the YSRCP winning in Proddatur and acted as a middleman for others placing bets. Unable to cope with the pressure from both losing bettors and victorious ones, Subbarao left home and ended his life by jumping into the Vijayawada Krishna Barrage.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway
