AP govt gives permission to Nara Lokesh’s Yuva Galam padayatra

AMARAVATI: Good news for the supporters of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) National General Secretary Nara Lokesh on his birthday on Monday as the Andhra Pradesh Government gave permission for his padayatra that is scheduled to start from January 27.

The Superintendent of Police of Chittoor district said that the Yuva Galam Padayatra should be conducted within the specified guidelines and all safety precautions should be taken. The organisers of the yatra were also advised that no provocative comments should be made during the yatra.

Lokesh and the TDP have announced Yuva Galam as a campaign to engage Andhra Pradesh's youths in the TDP's agenda-setting process and to give them a platform to voice their ideas and demand for a regime-change. As part of this, Nara Lokesh will walk 4,000-km in 400 days across the length and breadth of the state.The yatra will start in Kuppam of Chittoor district and end in Ichchapuram of Srikakulam district.

The State Government finally ending the suspense over its decision, Nara Lokesh’s supporters and the TDP cadre rejoiced the news while celebrating their leader’s birthday. #HBDYoungLeaderNaraLokesh is trending on Twitter and the youths expressed their support through this hashtag. Their excitement was doubled as the announcement of the permission for Yuva Galam was also made on January 23, his birthday.
