Nobel Laureate Prof Michael Kremer hails education reforms in Andhra Pradesh

AMARAVATI: Nobel Laureate Professor Michael Kremer on Thursday hailed the education reforms in Andhra Pradesh, calling them highly successful and worthwhile. He said the YSRCP government's initiatives were not only revolutionary but also strategic and others can learn from them.
Professor Kremer and Emily Cupito of the University of Chicago ( DIL ) visited the state's Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan central office on Thursday. During their visit, S. Suresh Kumar, commissioner of school education, and B. Srinivasa Rao, director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan programme AP, provided useful insights into the education plans and programmes implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government.
