Pawan Kalyan comments on superstar Krishna draws flak, party handle explains

AMARAVATI: Actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan raked up a stir with his unsavoury comments on superstar Krishna, the yesteryear’s daring and dashing hero.
Addressing a joint rally with the BJP, he said: “Even though NTR was world-famous, not all actors supported him politically. Many supported the Congress. Krishna was in Congress, Kota Srinivasa Rao was in another political party. But NTR never said a word to Krishna that's his culture. Similarly, TDP never stopped my movies even though I was in another party.”
However, many netizens did not find the mention of Krishna in the speech amusing.
“ Respecting one legend doesn't equate to disrespecting another. Let's focus on celebrating the contributions of all our Icons without pitting them against each other. Shame on you Pawan Kalyan. Withdraw your words,” LetsXott said.
Ashok Reddy said “ In the world of politics, I've never seen anybody who's this opportunistic. He (Pawan Kalyan) drags anything or anybody and puts it at stake for his own sake. Very dangerous to society. Reprehensible remarks on the legendary superstar Krishna. Even God will not condone such behaviour.”
Hours after the netizens started trolling the JSP chief, the party through its X handle responded by saying that, their leaders’s words were misquoted. “He just said that even though Krishna politically differed with NTR, NTR never disregarded Krishna. But Jagan disrespected all heroes. Pawan Kalyan did not talk about Krishna’s culture,” the party handle clarified.
