Pawan Kalyan officially confirms TDP-Jana Sena alliance, hopes BJP to join
Pawan Kalyan has officially announced his alliance with the Telugu Desam Party stating that Andhra Pradesh cannot afford to have YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the helm anymore
RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM: Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan has officially announced his alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) stating that Andhra Pradesh cannot afford to have YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at the helm anymore.
Pawan Kalyan, along with Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Bala Krishna and TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, met TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu at Rajamahendravaram Central Prison through the ‘mulaqat’ facility on Thursday. The trio met Chandrababu Naidu and spent almost 40 minutes in the prison with him and discussed the future course of action to be followed in the State.
Speaking to media, Pawan Kalyan said, “I came here to extend my solidarity to Chandrababu Naidu. For the last four-and-half years, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Government has unleashed anarchy in Andhra Pradesh. As part of it, false cases were filed against former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and sent him to judicial remand in the AP Skill Development Corporation scam.” The Jana Sena president said that he had only differed with Naidu on policy decisions but didn't have any personal issues with him.
On continuing his alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Pawan Kalyan said that he was confident that the BJP would also join hands with the Jana Sena-TDP alliance to dethrone the "highly corrupt" YSRCP from power in the coming elections. Reacting on the BJP’s role in the arrest of Naidu, Pawan Kalyan said, “I don't believe any conspiracy of BJP in Naidu’s arrest. I will meet Narendra Modi and Amit Shah and ask them to intensify security for Naidu in prison considering threats to him.”
Launching a scathing attack on YSRCP, Pawan Kalyan said that the Jana Sena and TDP combine would not hesitate to wage a war if YSRCP didn’t correct its mistakes. Justifying the alliance between the TDP and the Jana Sena, for a better future of people in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan said, “I don't have any personal rivalry with YS Jagan. If he ruled Andhra Pradesh in a proper manner, I would not have joined hands with Chandrababu Naidu. Moreover, the State is in dire need of a visionary leader like Naidu to take forward the development and welfare in a better way.”
The Jana Sena president said that a joint action committee would be constituted with both the party leaders and their opinions would be taken into consideration. Apart from that, the TDP and Jana Sena leaders would meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to brief them about the irregularities and law and order issues in Andhra Pradesh, he said.
Later, Pawan Kalyan also met Naidu's wife Nara Bhuvaneswari and Nara Brahmini at camp office in Rajamahendravaram. He suggested Bhuvaneswari to stay strong during the tough time.
