Pinnelli says he didn’t run away, ready for judicial probe into poll-related violence in Macherla
Pinnelli told media in Hyderabad that he was ready for a probe by a sitting judge into the clashes that took place in the Macharla constituency on the polling day.
AMARAVATI: “TDP candidate Julakanti Brahmananda Reddy is a factionist. It is his culture, not mine,” YSRCP Macherla candidate, Palnadu district president and Government whip Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy said.
Pinnelli told media in Hyderabad that he was ready for a probe by a sitting judge into the clashes that took place in the Macharla constituency on the polling day.
"TDP candidate Brahma Reddy fuelled faction politics in Macharla constituency. He is far away from the constituency and does not care about the people. It's ridiculous for such a person to say that I ran away,” Pinnelli pointed out.
Pinnelli said that the people of Macherla did not believe the criticism of Brahma Reddy, who was A-1 in seven murder cases. “Brahma Reddy, who contested against me and lost, fled to Guntur. After that, I did not look back at the constituency. Before the elections, Brahma Reddy was brought to Palnadu by MP Srikrishna Devarayalu and Chandrababu,” he observed.
He recalled that in the villages of Chintapalli, Chappacharla in Karempudi mandal, Tummakota, and Palavaigedu in Rentachintala mandal, members of the Kamma community drove out YSRCP agents and created a ruckus.
The vandalism was carried out by Karempudi CI Narayanaswamy, he said. “Even though the High Court had issued an order in advance to Palnadu SP to increase security in these villages, he did not care,” he said.
He said that he came to Hyderabad on the instructions of the police. “I don't have a history of running away. I never run away. MP Sri Krishnadevaraya is working hard to unite the Kamma community. Now there is an internal fight between Kura Brahma Reddy and Srikrishna Deva Raya,” he pointed out.
He added that to win over the TDP, CI Narayanaswamy launched a series of attacks. I don't have a history of running away from dirty politics like Brahma Reddy. I will always stand by the people. After YS Jagan became the Chief Minister, I developed the constituency with thousands of crores of rupees,” Pinnelli said.
He wanted to know what Julakanti and the TDP did for Macherla. “It is shameful that Brahma Reddy, who built a house by collecting donations and became a ‘Chandala’ leader, is criticising me. "Ramakrishna Reddy said.
