Plastic waste to be collected from devotees in buses to and from Tirumala: TTD EO

TIRUMALA: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) EO AV Dharma Reddy on Saturday directed officials to arrange garbage bags in RTC buses coming to Tirumala, to collect plastic waste garbage from devotees travelling in buses.

The TTD EO, speaking at a review meeting at the Sri Padmavati Guest House in Tirumala, urged employees to arrange for regular garbage clearance, including single use plastic waste, on ghat roads and pathways.

He also asked officials to speed up works on Srinivas Sethu, Sri Matrusri Vengamamba Dhyan Mandir, set up electricity metres by July in Tirumala, a ghee plant at SV Goshala, Veda Vijnan Tarangini episodes in SVBC, Bharatiya Vijnan Dhara episodes by SVBC for social media, pending electrical and engineering works at SVIMS hospital, and canteens at all TTD hospitals to provide quality food to patients, etc.
