RAJAMPET: Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, of corruption and mismanagement.

Addressing a public meeting at Rajampet in Annamayya district on Wednesday, PM Modi claimed that the YSRCP had failed to meet the expectations of the people of Andhra Pradesh, creating an environment conducive to crime. "The people of Andhra Pradesh had high hopes for the YSRCP government, but they were let down," he said.

He accused the YSRCP of supporting criminal activities by neglecting the needs of ordinary citizens. As an example, he cited the Annamayya dam breach, which caused extensive destruction and loss of life, attributing it to YSRCP's negligence. He stated that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would put an end to what he called "goonda raj" and restore law and order in Andhra Pradesh. "The countdown for the end of the YSRCP government has started," he declared. Modi reiterated his commitment to a "double engine government," which he believed would accelerate development in the state.

The Prime Minister also criticized the YSRCP government for its lack of cooperation with the Central government's Jal Jeevan Mission, which was aimed at providing clean water to every household. He emphasized that an NDA government would complete irrigation projects in Rayalaseema, offering better support to farmers and improving infrastructure.

Modi urged the people of Andhra Pradesh to vote for the NDA in the upcoming elections, promising a focus on development and a commitment to addressing the pressing needs of the state.
