Police serve notice upon Pawan Kalyan seeking proof of planned riots during Varahi yatra
Krishna District SP P Jashua said that notices were served to find out if there was any evidence of Pawan Kalyan's allegations
VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district police has served notices upon Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan to provide proof for his allegations that that the YSRCP has planned riots during his Varahi Yatra meeting to be held in Pedana on Wednesday.
Interacting with the media, Krishna District Superintendent of Police (SP) P Jashua said that notices were served to find out if there was any evidence of Pawan Kalyan's allegations. The SP added that Pawan even gave a message to the party ranks to prevent them.
"We have asked Pawan Kalyan to submit all the evidence he has and the credible source of information about planned riots in his Varahi Yatra meeting in Pedana. So far, we haven't received any response from Pawan Kalyan to our notices. In such a case, we can consider those allegations as baseless," Jashua said.
"The Jana Sena chief should refrain himself from making allegations without any evidence and stop provoking his party cadre. The police have made arrangements for Jana Sena public meetings without causing inconvenience to them. We have a better vigilance team than Pawan Kalyan and are ready to initiate stern action against the anti-social elements," the SP said.
